St. George's Cemetery Service

July 10, 2022 at 2 p.m.

This year we are happy to announce that our churches are having the annual Cemetery Service as shown above.

We are thankful for the generations of families and individuals who have financially supported the cemetery.  Each year, along with the regular grass cutting, we try to repair some of the monuments.

Donations to the yearly upkeep of our grounds can be made online (click here - select the Cemetery Fund)  or mail to St. Thomas' Cemetery Fund, 3794 Woodkilton Rd, Woodlawn Ontario, K0A 3M0

   Movie Discussion Group Double Header

On Friday June 24th at 7:00 p.m. we will meet over Zoom to discuss a comedy and a drama - both of which are available on YouTube, one of them is available for free!

External link opens in new tab or windowClick here to join the discussion.

The Comedy is QUARTET: At a home for retired musicians, the annual concert to celebrate Composer Giuseppe Verdi's birthday is disrupted by the arrival of Jean (Dame Maggie Smith), an eternal diva and the former wife of one of the residents. You'll find the movie at External link opens in new tab or window for a small fee.

The Drama is Romero: In El Salvador, the new bishop speaks out against the death squads and the terror campaign the government is using in an attempt to crush the guerilla war that is being waged against them. This is seen as disloyalty and the number of priests attacked goes up and even churches are shut down by the government. Based on a true story, Romero was assassinated in March, 1980.  You'll find this movie, for free, at External link opens in new tab or window
